- Other: The Montana History Foundation provides fiscal sponsorship opportunities to groups or organizations dedicated to preserving Montana’s history and culture. Sponsored projects or programs are of historic significance and are of public benefit in perpetuity.
Services we offer projects:
- Bookkeeping/accounting
- Tax reporting
- Other: MHF will send all required acknowledgements to donors of tax-deductible contributions and will submit all required grant reports. MHF requires sponsored organizations to be responsible for their own tax returns, employment taxes, insurance, debts, liabilities, etc.

The Montana History Foundation, an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is governed by a 13-person board. Our mission is to preserve Montana history one story, one project, one community at a time. We do this by making grants, leveraging donor generosity and collaborating with partners across the state.
