Fiscal sponsorship fee:
Our fees are assessed on a monthly basis as a percentage of expenses and are based on the complexity and volume of financial and human resources services, transactions and reports required. Fees range from 9% to 14% and are inclusive of organizational assessments, insurance coverage, trainings, and audit costs.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Aligned mission/values
  • Geographic: Based in New England states and New York
  • Has an advisory group
  • Other: Competent leadership. Minimum two-year commitment. In most cases, we require groups to have funding in hand or pledged. We take on a small number of groups that do not yet have identified funding, but have a viable fundraising plan that would allow the organization to reach $150,000 in annual funding within a few years.

  • Other: We work with groups that are community-based or constituent-driven, or those groups that empower communities or constituent groups to have an impact on the systems that affect their lives. Our client organizations can be in a range of fields, as long as they embody this principle.

  • Other: We practice the model of fiscal sponsorship where all of our clients come under our 501(c)(3) status, and the staff members come onto our payroll and benefits plans. This means that their financial information is included in our annual audit and tax filings, and they are automatically covered by our general liability and property insurance. We offer limited assistance with IT and legal issues,, facilitate organizational assessments with our clients and provide trainings (usually free of charge).
